Solution and solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy providing sample information on molecular composition, structure, interactions, dynamics and kinetics.
The Chemistry Centre Magnetic Resonance (C2MR) Facility is the University of Alberta’s Core Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Facility equipped with twelve state-of-the-art NMR spectrometers, ranging from 300 to 800 MHz (7.05 to 18.8 T).
Cutting edge equipment includes 300, 400, 500, 600, 700 and 800 MHz NMR spectrometers for both solids and liquids samples over a very broad concentration, temperature, and range of nuclei. Multidimensional experiment acquisitions are prepared, and broadband cryogenically cooled and dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) probes provide unique sensitivity for a wide range of studies.
C2MR is a University of Alberta core facility professionally maintained and managed, providing project consultation for both solution and solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra. NMR provides atomic and molecular information for chemical structure and interactions samples including small organic molecules up to proteins, nucleic acids, lipids, glycans, biofluids (e.g. metabolomics), and inorganic compounds and materials. Services range from both academic and commercial sample submission for smaller projects, to user training and facility certification for larger scale research.
